Kilowatt Pop-up exhibition
The kilowatt-hour (kWh) is easily recognisable on an electricity bill, yet information on how many kilowatt-hours each of our household appliances require and how much energy makes up a kilowatt-hour is not as easy to come by.
The exhibition’s centrepiece is an interactive light installation where visitors power LED strip lights by riding the limited Allebike Alpha Polestar edition mountain bike.
As the visitors pedal, their speed is measured by a sensor that communicates with LED strips causing them to pulse light into the room.
This installation is supplemented by short, informative texts and accompanying graphics that present the theme of energy in a fun, user-friendly fashion.
